Staying in this villa over the last week has been the experience of a lifetime. Words like stunning, spectacular and breathtaking loose their meaning when you look over the beautiful turquoise water. We have appreciated every moment we have spent here- in fact it is hard to drag ourselves away from the villa to visit the gorgeous beaches the island is famous for. The villa itself is unbelievable- the thoughtfulness that went into the design is obvious. It is unequaled by any place we have stayed in the Caribbean.

Outstanding views

This villa is beautiful with great architectural touches (tile, front doors, etc.) and offers outstanding views.
However, the layout is a little unique. The master suite is on the top floor with a king bed, veranda and a roof top look out with table and chairs. On the main floor with kitchen and living room, is a room with
two twin beds which you must walk through to get to the next bedroom with a king bed. Both of these rooms open onto the pool deck. The
lower level offers a separate kitchen and two bedrooms with double beds. You also must walk through one bedroom to get to the other. If you are traveling with kids this isn't such a big deal, but if you are traveling with 5 couples it could be a little awkward, not to mention the fight over the bed sizes. The lower level bedrooms were also a little musty.
The pool is pretty small and pretty cold, but the hot tub does warm up after about one hour. It is a beautiful view with the infinity pool
about 120 feet above the sea.
There are stairs that take you down to the ocean, but when we were there in January, we were disappointed that the water was so shallow above the coral that only one of us ventured out over the reef. Once out there,
he said the snorkeling was good, much better than what we found directly off of Shoal Beach.
Shoal Beach is very nice. It's a short car ride away. They have made arrangements for free lounge chairs at Gwen's, but the beach is not as nice there as it is by Uncle Ernie's. The cost for renting Chairs their is $10 for two lounge chairs, a small table and umbrella.
Bibi the housekeeper, did a nice job and was very helpful during our stay.
